Wilson Prize is the trading name of ABS Technologies Limited, a private limited company organized under the laws of England and Wales, with company number 16153263, registered office at 5 Brayford Square, London, E1 0SG, England, and UTR number 5037819319. Wilson Prize is a for-profit entity that operates both as a fundraising platform and a technology provider.
THE WEBSITE
The www.wilsonprize.com website (the “Website”) facilitates participation in prize draws (each a “Prize Draw”). A portion of the proceeds from each Prize Draw supports selected non-profits and/or charitable causes (each a “Charity”).
APPLICABILITY OF THESE OFFICIAL RULES
These Official Rules govern every Prize Draw launched on the Website from 12 November 2024 onwards. Each Prize Draw is subject to all applicable international and local laws and regulations and is void where prohibited by law. The Wilson Prize operates in compliance with UK Gambling Commission guidelines applicable to charity prize draws, ensuring adherence to local regulations.
USE OF WINNERS’ INFORMATION
By participating in a Wilson Prize draw, you consent to the use of your name, likeness, and any statements made in connection with the prize for marketing and promotional purposes, both online and offline. This usage will be conducted in line with our Privacy Notice and only with your explicit consent obtained during the prize claim process.
EXPERIENCE RULES
Each Prize Draw may also have specific additional terms and conditions (the “Experience Rules”), which can be found in the footer of each page of the Website under the section “Legal.” In cases of conflict between these Official Rules and the Experience Rules, the latter will prevail.
ADDITIONAL RULES
Your entry method, interactions with us, and the prizes you win may also be governed by additional rules including our Terms of Use, Subscription Terms, Messaging Terms, and Gift Card and Reward Code Terms (collectively, “Additional Rules”). These can also be found under the “Legal” section on the Website. In any conflict between the Official Rules and Additional Rules, the Additional Rules take precedence.
BINDING CONTRACT
These Official Rules, including applicable Experience Rules and Additional Rules, form a binding contract between the Promoter and each participant (a “Participant”). Entering a Prize Draw signifies your agreement to these Official Rules and the decisions of the Promoter, which are final and binding in all respects.
UPDATES TO OFFICIAL RULES
We may update these rules occasionally. Please review the Official Rules each time you participate in a Prize Draw to ensure you understand the terms applicable at that time. Updates will be posted on the Website and, where appropriate, communicated directly to Participants.
ELIGIBILITY
To participate in a Prize Draw or win a prize, a Participant must comply fully with these Official Rules and be:
- At least 18 years old;
- Not a ‘Prohibited Person’ as detailed in Section 4(A);
- A legal resident of the United Kingdom.
Wilson Prize may ask Participants to provide proof of eligibility, such as valid identification, before a prize can be claimed.
PROHIBITED PERSONS
Unless stated otherwise in the Experience Rules, the following individuals are ineligible to enter or win a Prize Draw:
- Individuals who have won a major prize in a Prize Draw within the last 18 months;
- Employees, officers, and directors of Wilson Prize;
- Employees, officers, and directors of any Prize Draw Partners involved in the administration of the Prize Draw;
- Immediate family members and household members of the above-mentioned employees, officers, and directors;
- Employees, officers, and directors of any Charity involved in the Prize Draw (excluding volunteers but including trustees).
HOW TO ENTER
Each Prize Draw has a specific entry period (‘Entry Period’) detailed in the Experience Rules. Only entries received during this period are valid. Wilson Prize is the official timekeeper for all Prize Draws.
WINNER SELECTION AND NOTIFICATION
Winners are chosen through a random selection process after the Entry Period ends, as detailed in the Experience Rules. Winners are notified via the contact information provided upon entry and must respond within 7 days to claim their prize; failure to do so may result in forfeiture.
GOVERNING LAW; JURISDICTION
These Official Rules are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and legal proceedings related to the rules can be brought in English courts. Any disputes will be resolved through arbitration in accordance with the Arbitration Act 1996.
DATA PROTECTION
Personal data collected during the Prize Draw will be processed in accordance with our Privacy Notice, available on the Website.
GENERAL CONDITIONS
